Patrick Mahomes is not the first member of his family to compete at the highest level in sports. His father, Pat, was a pitcher in Major League Baseball for 11 years and played professionally for the Twins, Red Sox, Mets, Rangers, Cubs, and Pirates from 1992 to 2003. During that time, he was a part of the franchises. Additionally, he spent the years 1997 and 1998 playing with the Yokohama BayStars.

Mahomes finished his career as a pitcher in the Major League Baseball with a record of 42-39, a 5.47 earned run average, and 452 strikeouts. It was on September 27, 2003, with the Pirates that he participated in a major league game for the last time. Despite this, Mahomes maintained his playing career for a total of six additional seasons, all of which were spent in lower-level or independent leagues, before he finally called it quits in 2009.

The tie between the two Mahomes families is very strong. Mahomes Sr. shared with reporters before to Super Bowl 55 that he always sends a positive and uplifting message to Patrick Mahomes before each of his son’s games.

According to what he said with Fox4 Kansas City, “I tell him, ‘Players make plays, and I love you,’” Since he was seven or eight years old, we’ve been doing that together as a family.Every time we played, whether it was two games a week in baseball or basketball or just one game a week in football, I made it a point to emphasize this point. I make it a point to let him know that I am on his side whenever possible. I intend to be present for the event. And as long as he does the best that he can, he will never hear a complaint from me, even if he fails to meet my expectations.

Additionally, the elder Mahomes makes the trip from Texas to Kansas City in order to watch as many of his son’s home games as possible. In spite of the COVID-19 restrictions, he continued to do so in 2020 since it was essential for him to be there at his son’s competitions in order to demonstrate his support for him.

“Wherever he is, he knows that I’m going to be there,” Mahomes Sr. said about his son.

It is important to note that Patrick, not Pat, is the given name of Mahomes II because it was passed down from the elder Mahomes. Both of them desired to steer clear of an excessive amount of confusion, so the younger Mahomes made the decision not to adopt the “Pat” moniker.

Randi Martin Mahomes is the proud mother of Patrick Mahomes.

Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, did not compete at a professional level in any sport. However, she had an equally significant impact on his upbringing, and the fact that she encouraged him to continue playing football is a testament to her influence.

In an interview conducted by ABC4 in advance of Super Bowl 54, Randi revealed that there was a time when her kid considered giving up football. She was successful in persuading him to continue playing.

“Before he started his junior year of high school, he came to me that summer wanting to quit football, but I just said you’re going to regret it if you quit,” she told him at the time. “I told him that you’re going to regret it if you quit.”

On multiple occasions, Randi has been called out for using Twitter to defend her son.She attacked Mack Wilson for concussing her son during the 2021 AFC Championship Game and blamed the referees for her son’s loss against the Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55. She also blamed the referees for her son’s loss in Super Bowl 55.

Additionally, she uses various forms of social media to convey her feelings of pleasure and thankfulness toward her children, including Patrick, who is not an exception.

Regarding Patrick’s performance in the NFL, Randi stated, “I am extremely, extremely proud.” “I usually tell people that we are blessed. It is a blessing that he is able to live out his ambition and make a living doing what he enjoys most.

Even though Randi and Pat Sr. no longer live together, they continue to be good friends. In addition to Mahomes, she is the mother of two other children, one of whom is Mahomes’s only full-blood sibling.

Jackson Mahomes is the older brother of Patrick Mahomes.

Over the course of the past year and a half, fans of the NFL have had plenty time to become familiar with Jackson Mahomes. The 22-year-old young man has gained a great deal of attention as a consequence of his status as a social media star thanks to his more than one million followers on TikTok.

Obviously, not all of the attention that Michael Jackson has received has been beneficial. After the Ravens’ victory over the Chiefs in September 2021, he threw a water bottle at a supporter of the other team, and he also garnered fire for dancing on Sean Taylor’s number during a game between Kansas City and Washington. Both of these incidents sparked controversy.

In the month of December in the year 2021, the younger Mahomes took to social media to criticize a restaurant in Kansas City for providing poor service. The eatery hit back with their own post, in which they called out the celebrity for their behavior.

Patrick has discussed several of these activities, like the throwing of water bottles at the Ravens, with his brother. One of these stunts was the water bottle dump. On the other hand, he refuted the story that was made by Rich Ohrenberger, which stated that he requested both Jackson and his own wife Brittany not to attend Chiefs games in 2022.

Other members of the Mahomes family besides Patrick

Mahomes has a large extended family that includes a number of more half-siblings from both sides of his family (maternal and paternal). The following are some of them:

Mia Randall is the one who has the most notoriety among the group. The young girl, who is 10 years old and goes by the name “Mia Bliss” on Instagram, has amassed more than 14,000 followers, and as a result, she is considered to be an Internet celebrity. Randi Mahomes, her mother, is the one in charge of managing the account.

Brittany Matthews Mahomes is the lucky lady that got married to Patrick Mahomes.

During the offseason of the 2022 NFL season, Mahomes and Matthews made the decision to be married. The couple tied the knot on March 12th, 2022 in the state of Hawaii.

However, they have been together for a considerable amount of time now. They began dating in high school and became engaged for the first time not long after Mahomes received his Super Bowl win following the Chiefs’ victory over the 49ers in the year 2020. Before they got married, the two of them already had a kid together.

After graduating from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2017, Brittany played soccer professionally in Iceland for one year. She was a standout player during her time as a student at the University of Texas at Tyler. She is a trainer by trade and lists herself as an entrepreneur at Brittany Lynne Fitness, owner of the NWSL’s Kansas City Current and mother to her daughter, Sterling, and dogs, Steel and Silver, on her Instagram. She has 1.1 million people following her account.

During the 2021 NFL season and 2022 playoffs, Mahomes, like her brother-in-law Jackson, caused a bit of a stir with his controversial behavior.A video of her spraying champagne onto the crowd after the Chiefs’ win over the Bills went viral, and she caught flak for her act. She only dumped fuel onto that fire by tweeting the following on social media.

Patrick Mahomes’ daughter: Sterling Mahomes

Sterling Mahomes is the daughter of Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews. She was born Feb. 20, 2021, just a couple of weeks after Mahomes’ Chiefs lost Super Bowl 55 to the Buccaneers.

The couple posts plenty of pictures of Sterling on Instagram.

Sterling now has the distinction of being the family’s oldest child as opposed to the only child.

Patrick Mahomes’ son: Bronze Mahomes

Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes III is the newest member of the Mahomes family. The son of Mahomes II and Matthews was born on Nov. 28, 2022, and is now one of Mahomes’ two children along with Sterling.

Mahomes posted a picture of Bronze on Instagram Tuesday to confirm news of his birth.

As for Bronze’s unique nickname, Mahomes explained his brother Jackson played a role in its creation.

“When we had Sterling,” Mahomes told the AP, “we didn’t know if it was a boy or girl, so we thought of a name that could be a boy or girl. And we wanted them to have a connection. I always wanted to do Patrick Mahomes III, ever since I was a kid. I always thought it would be ‘Trey,’ you hear that a lot. So when me and (brother) Jackson were trying to think of something unique, he thought of ‘Bronze.’ It fit perfectly with Sterling. They can have that connection moving forward.”
