Neymar has just undergone surgery after injuring the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his knee in the match against Uruguay in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. It is expected that the striker will have to miss 10 months.

Talking about Neymar’s condition, doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said: “Neymar is recovering well. On Sunday, I assessed his situation after surgery. He recovered very well but still in the early stages. Neymar’s injury is complicated and will require him to be out of action for a long time.”
