With coach Enrique reaching an agreement with PSG, Neymar’s future at the Paris capital team was clarified. Sport reported that Neymar will stay at PSG next season when he is led by his old teacher. Enrique had a successful period working with Neymar at Barca. Both played an important role in helping the Camp Nou team have a great meal in the 2014/15 season.
Le Parisien revealed Neymar was satisfied with the choice of coach of the PSG leadership. The striker born in 1992 promises to continue to be the mainstay of the reigning Ligue 1 champions next season. The Brazilian star himself also likes the bustling life in Paris.
Neymar is rumored to be able to leave PSG this summer, after reports appeared that Manchester United or Chelsea wanted to recruit players. However, the salary of more than 30 million euros/season the player is receiving at the French club becomes a big barrier. PSG are also not willing to sell Neymar for cheap.
Neymar’s future commitment to PSG can help coach Enrique in his journey to rebuild PSG next season, after the departure of Lionel Messi and the unstable move from Kylian Mbappe. The PSG leadership was not pleased when Mbappe announced his decision not to renew his current contract. If the player does not renew his contract this summer, he will be sold. Coach Enrique also does not want a player to wear a PSG shirt but his mind is in another club like Mbappe.
Earlier this week, The Athletic confirmed PSG had reached an agreement with coach Enrique. PSG President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Sports Advisor Luis Campos highly appreciate the former Barca coach. Enrique’s personality as well as Champions League experience is what PSG need. The Spaniard is ready to return to work after a long absence at club level.
