While training with the Brazilian national team, Neymar brought bad news to Al Hilal – the club he had just joined but never played.
Joining Al Hilal from PSG last summer for 90 million Euros, Neymar became the most expensive contract in Arab football history. But ironically, the 31-year-old striker was injured before and could not play his new club’s debut match yet.
Currently, Neymar is still actively training to regain his fitness and return soon. He was also recently called up to the Brazilian national team to play two 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Bolivia and Peru.
However, on the training field with his Selecao teammates, something unfortunate happened to Neymar. According to Globo, in an attempt to make a tackle, the 31-year-old superstar fell and pinned his right hand to the field.
It is worth mentioning that Neymar’s right hand had to wear a protective band before. Immediately, number 10 complained of pain and left the field to be treated by a doctor.
Globo said that after removing the bandage, medical staff discovered a cut in Neymar’s wrist area. The scene made coach Fernando Diniz and the coaching staff worried.
After receiving first aid, Neymar can still continue training, but the specific situation or ability to play in the next match is still unknown. This is definitely bad news for fans of the 31-year-old striker, the Brazilian team and Al Hilal.
Previously, the Saudi Arabian club expected Neymar to recover and be able to return to play after joining the Brazilian national team. But any injury that occurs at this time can delay the above process.
And it would be very bad for Al Hilal if Neymar gets injured again and has to postpone his debut date. This club certainly cannot be satisfied with spending 90 million Euros just to watch their superstar constantly go in and out of the clinic.
