While the Los Angeles Lakers were able to almost miraculously turn their season around following the NBA trade deadline, there’s no denying that their season ended in disaster. This comes after LeBron James and the Lakers were swept 4-0 by the eventual champions, the Denver Nuggets, in a Western Conference Finals series in which the Lakers were completely outclassed.
LeBron is well aware of this fact, and he is not hiding it. On Friday, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer issued a special message to his doubters and naysayers ahead of his 21st season in the league (h/t Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints):
The link in the original post goes into detail about LeBron’s early years in the league. Who would have guessed that after 20 years in the league, James would still be this dominant? He most likely did.
The most important thing to note here is LeBron James’ audacious statement about his legacy. He’s already done it all in his career, which has included four NBA championships. He is, however, hungry for more and will go to any length to reach No. 5. As he stated in his caption, he has no intention of stopping now.
