Neymar could become the latest big name to move to Saudi Arabia’s Saudi Pro League, after Karim Benzema joined Al Ittihad, while Cristiano Ronaldo was at Al Nassr a few months earlier.

Brazil international Neymar is said to follow in the footsteps of his close friend Lionel Messi leaving the Parc des Princes team. Neymar and Messi have received heavy criticism from PSG fans themselves for not being able to help the team win the Champions League, while PSG’s performance on the pitch after the 2022 World Cup is very bad.
Ironically, Messi’s move to Inter Miami could open a new door for his starter at Barcelona and PSG. Al Hilal pushed for a move with the 2022 World Cup winner Argentina, but Messi opted to join the American professional league MLS.
Now, after missing out on Lionel Messi, Al Hilal’s interest turns to Neymar with a potentially huge deal. According to CBS Sports, a delegation from Al Hilal flew to Paris on Friday to conduct initial talks with PSG.

Information shows that Al Hilal is willing to pay Neymar the same salary as Cristiano Ronaldo, meaning 173 million pounds/year (200 million euros). In addition, Al Hilal will pay 45 million euros for the transfer of Neymar to PSG.
Neymar is still the player who holds the world record for the transfer price. He left Barcelona for PSG with a £200m release clause in 2017. Neymar currently has a contract with the Ligue 1 champions until 2025.
The season just ended, Neymar suffered many injuries, in which he was absent from February until the end of the season. After returning to France from duty at the 2022 World Cup with Brazil, Neymar suffered an ankle problem and required surgery.

Saudi Arabia is dominating the transfer market when it is not afraid to spend huge amounts of money to bring back the top football superstars in Europe. Most recently, the world golden ball Karim Benzema left Real Madrid to join the new Saudi Pro League champion Al Ittihad. Al Ittihad is said to be close to signing N’Golo Kante from Chelsea.
Real Madrid has released a statement thanking Benzema for his contributions to the club after many years. At the Bernabeu team, Benzema scored more than 350 goals. The French striker joined the Spanish Royal team in 2009 and won all the glory including Champions League, La Liga, FIFA Club World Cup, European Super Cup, etc.
